5k, just not all day

In a fit of New Year’s resolution making I decided to run a 5k. Have I ran a 5k before you ask? No, I haven’t. But I walked the Bay to Breakers (which is 12k) while pushing my son in his stroller. That counts for something, right? The 5k is part of the American River Parkway Half-Marathon in Sacramento. And I plan to go full tilt (for me) and finish in 30 minutes. The San Francisco Art Institute Cafe located at 800 Chestnut Street in San Francisco is cheap eats with a million dollar view and one of the few U.S. locations to see work from one of the greatest Mexican muralist, Diego Rivera. The food or the view are not the reason to take the hike up from North Beach to the top floor of San Francisco’s oldest and largest art school.
